Integrity of our Staff

In order to give the service user every confidence in the integrity of our staff, we undertake rigorous checks before the recruitment and appointment of new staff is completed.

These checking procedures consist of the following measures:

• Verification of Identity
  
• Verification of Driving Licence
  
• Verification of Work Permit (where applicable)
  
• Validation of training and qualifications
  
• Medical, physical and mental fitness checks
  
• Confirmation of Nursing qualification with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
  
• Checking of Sex Offenders register and General Social Care Register
  
• Criminal Record checks

Only after all of these checks have been completed will we allow the new member of staff to go out on our home care service.

During the first three months of this period, the new member of staff will be accompanied by one of our senior members of staff whilst the induction course is completed.

Once the induction course has been passed, the new member of staff will be permitted to work alone dependant on operational requirements.

We are very conscious of the public concern about the vulnerability of the elderley and we take every care in the recruitment and selection of our staff.
